Escostes is an organic and vegan wine made from high-altitude Xarel lo in Els Alts d Ancosa, in the Penedès. Fresh, elegant and highly aromatic, it combines notes of chamomile, banana and crema catalana with a silky, balanced palate. An ideal gastronomic white wine to enjoy both on its own and at the table.
Escostes de Celler Les Iaies is an organic and vegan white wine made from Xarel lo grown in a vineyard located at 630 meters above sea level in Els Alts d Ancosa, considered one of the highest-altitude Xarel lo vineyards in Penedès. The limestone and clay soils, together with the excellent sun exposure, promote slow, balanced ripening, bringing freshness, tension, and great aromatic expression.
The harvest is carried out by hand, and the grapes then macerate with their skins for 48 hours before fermentation, adding greater depth and complexity to the wine. On the nose, it stands out for its aromas of chamomile, banana, and crema catalana, over an elegant and delicately Mediterranean background.
On the palate, it is broad, fresh, and silky, with an enveloping texture that maintains the balance and elegance characteristic of high-altitude Xarel lo. Ideal to enjoy by the glass or paired with salads, fish, seafood, and creamy cheeses.
