Ricossa's Barolo DOCG is an emblematic wine of Piedmont, considered the king of wines, made 100% from Nebbiolo grown on the hills of the Langhe, in soils rich in clay and limestone. After a long ageing period of three years, including 18 months in wood, it reveals an intense garnet colour and a complex bouquet of red fruits, cherries in liqueur and jam, together with floral notes of rose and withered violet. Hints of cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg combine with evolved notes of vanilla, cocoa, tobacco and leather. On the palate it is harmonious, with elegant tannins and remarkable persistence, perfect with roast meats, stews, braises or truffle dishes. A wine of great character and longevity, ideal for special occasions or as a meditation wine.
