Pieve Santa Restituta Rosso di Montalcino 2024 is the first Rosso di Montalcino produced by the Gaja family at this historic Tuscan winery. An elegant and expressive Sangiovese, with aromas of ripe cherry, red berries, Mediterranean herbs, and soft spices, and a fresh, balanced, and persistent palate.
Pieve Santa Restituta Rosso di Montalcino 2024 is Pieve Santa Restituta’s new interpretation of Montalcino, the prestigious winery acquired by Angelo Gaja in 1994. After establishing itself as one of the great benchmarks of Brunello di Montalcino, the estate now presents this Rosso di Montalcino for the first time, a more approachable and immediate expression of the territory without sacrificing the elegance and personality that distinguish its wines.
Made exclusively from Sangiovese grown in vineyards on south-facing calcareous soils open to maritime influence, this wine faithfully reflects the landscape and climate of Montalcino. The privileged conditions of these plots encourage optimal grape ripening and bring depth, freshness, and aromatic complexity.
On the nose, ripe cherries, wild red berries, and delicate floral notes stand out, accompanied by nuances of Mediterranean herbs and soft spices. On the palate, it is precise, structured, and balanced, with juicy fruit, fine tannins, and a vibrant acidity that is perfectly integrated. The finish is long and persistent, with echoes of fresh fruit, spices, and an elegant mineral note.
A Rosso di Montalcino that combines authenticity, freshness, and refinement, revealing a new expression of Tuscan Sangiovese through the vision of Angelo Gaja.
