Château Grand Village is a Bordeaux Supérieur produced by the Guinaudeau family, owners of Château Lafleur, from Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Vinified in concrete and aged in barrel for 12 months, it stands out for its elegance, balance, and excellent value for money within Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
Château Grand Village, owned by the Guinaudeau family, is the original expression of their savoir-faire in Bordeaux, beyond the prestigious Château Lafleur in Pomerol. Located in Mouillac, north of Fronsac, this Bordeaux Supérieur is crafted with the same level of precision and attention to detail as their benchmark wines. The 17.8-hectare vineyard is planted predominantly with red varieties, mainly Merlot and Cabernet Franc, on soils characteristic of the Right Bank. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before vinification in traditional concrete tanks. The wine is aged for approximately 12 months, combining new French oak barrels (around 30%) with barrels previously used in Pomerol, bringing complexity and elegance. The result is a wine that far exceeds its Bordeaux Supérieur category, with a refined, structured, and approachable profile, reflecting the precise and balanced style of the Guinaudeau family.
