Château La Tour de By is an elegant red wine from the Médoc AOC made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Intense, fresh, and structured, it combines aromas of black fruit, spices, and aging notes with great aging potential.
Château La Tour de By is one of the great benchmarks of the Médoc, made from vineyards over 45 years old planted on gravel soils located just 200 meters from the Gironde estuary. A member of the prestigious Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux since 1977, this wine stands out for its elegance, freshness, and excellent aging potential.
Made from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot, the harvest is carried out by hand and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and wooden vats with temperature control. The wine is then aged for 12 months in oak barrels, which add complexity and structure.
It displays an intense dark ruby color. On the nose, it offers aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, and ripe fruit, accompanied by elegant spicy and toasted notes. On the palate, it is broad and structured, with fine tannins, good fruit concentration, and a long, balanced finish. A classic Médoc with the potential to evolve for nearly twenty years.
