Château Faugères is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé that embodies the elegance and depth typical of the great wines of Bordeaux. Made from 85% Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, it faithfully reflects the richness of the estate’s clay-limestone soils. With an average vineyard age of 35 years and spanning 42 hectares, it offers concentration, finesse, and unmistakable character.
Vinification is carried out by gravity in conical wooden vats, with cold pre-fermentation maceration and controlled fermentation, followed by 14 months of aging in French oak barrels (50% new, 50% second-fill). On the nose, it reveals elegant aromatic complexity, with ripe black fruit, spicy notes, and a mineral undertone. On the palate, it is silky, structured, and balanced, with refined tannins and a long, persistent finish.
