100% Tinto Fino red wine from the Ribera del Duero DO. It reflects the complexity of the 25 terroirs of the Atauta Valley with balance, freshness, and elegance. It displays an intense cherry color with violet hues and aromas of red and black fruits, aromatic herbs, and a subtle mineral background. Aged for 14 months in French oak.
Dominio de Atauta comes from the Atauta Valley, in the Ribera del Duero DO, and is made exclusively from Tinto Fino selected from 25 historic terroirs located between 940 and 1,010 meters above sea level.
The vineyard is 100% pre-phylloxera, with an average age of between 120 and 140 years, planted on calcareous sandy soils with calcareous bedrock at varying depths, which lends a marked mineral expression.
Vinification is carried out by terroir in wooden vats and concrete tanks, selecting the type of vessel according to the characteristics of each plot. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels (15% new and 85% used) and 5 months in 5,200-liter French oak vats, achieving an elegant integration of the oak.
In the glass, it shows a bright cherry color with violet highlights. On the nose, it is clean, intense, and complex, with notes of red and black fruits, aromatic herbs, and an elegant chalky mineral background. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness, balance, and refined style, faithfully expressing the personality of the Atauta Valley.
