Roca del Frare is an organic red wine made from high-altitude Garnacha Peluda and a small proportion of Cabernet. Aged for a year and a half in French oak, it combines ripe red fruit, notes of coffee and cocoa with a silky, fresh, and elegant palate.
Roca del Frare by Celler Les Iaies is an organic red wine made primarily from Garnacha Peluda from the highest areas of Font-rubí, complemented by a small proportion of Cabernet from the slopes of Pacs. The climatic conditions and limestone-clay soils promote slow, balanced ripening that brings freshness and elegance to the wine.
The harvest is carried out by hand, and maceration with whole berries in stainless steel tanks allows for great aromatic expression and an especially silky texture. Afterwards, the wine is aged for a year and a half in French oak, adding depth and complexity without losing the leading role of the fruit.
On the nose, it stands out for its aromatic intensity, with hints of ripe red fruit, coffee, cocoa, and delicate notes of vanilla. On the palate, it is long, round, and balanced, maintaining an elegant freshness that makes it a very food-friendly wine.
