Portell Crianza is a red wine made from a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It combines the expression of the fruit with twelve months of ageing in American and French oak barrels, which brings complexity and structure. It shows an intense currant-red colour with slight brick hues. On the nose, balsamic and toasted notes stand out against a background of ripe red fruit. On the palate, the entry is smooth and silky, with good structure and fleshiness, well-integrated tannins, and a long, persistent finish with notable aromatic complexity. It is ideal to accompany grilled meats, roasts, game dishes, stews and aged cheeses.
