Suntory Kakubin is one of Japan’s most iconic whiskies and the foundation upon which the tradition of Japanese whisky has been built. Launched in 1937, this blended whisky has become a true classic and remains one of the country’s most widely consumed.
Its unique character comes from the combination of whiskies from Suntory’s three iconic distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita, which bring balance, freshness, and complexity within a distinctly Japanese style.
Amber-gold in color, the nose reveals delicate aromas of lemon, green apple, butter cookies, and hazelnut. On the palate it is smooth and balanced, with notes of popcorn, apple, dried coconut, and toasted almonds that give it a friendly profile and make it very easy to enjoy.
The finish is dry and clean, with light herbaceous hints that reinforce its elegance. A versatile whisky, ideal both for sipping neat and in cocktails, especially in the classic Japanese highball.
