Grenache Carignan Cabernet Sauvignon Inspired by the winemaking tradition of the Catalan Cistercian monasteries of the 14th century, Clos Montblanc Origen is a red wine with character, depth, and a historic soul. It is made from old vines between 20 and 30 years old, located at altitudes of 400 to 500 meters, around the monasteries surrounding the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 16 months of aging in French and American oak barrels, adding complexity and structure. It displays an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it seduces with aromas of sweet black fruits, blueberries, and blackcurrants, combined with notes of black cherry compote, vanilla, and a balsamic touch. On the palate it is smooth, round, with a velvety texture, elegant and powerful at the same time. Its finish is long, balanced, and persistent. One of the winery’s highest-rated wines for its excellent value for money. A red that pays tribute to the origin of wine in Catalan lands.
