Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie is the distillery’s flagship bottling and the truest expression of its fruity, floral, and elegant style. Its foundation is not a fixed recipe, but a philosophy: each year, the variety and origin of the barley determine nuances in the distillate, and a range of casks is selected to shape a profile that is always recognizable, yet with slight differences between batches. This complex composition is led by Master Distiller Adam Hannett, who hand-selects and blends the finest whiskies after a demanding process of tasting and re-evaluation over several weeks. Made with 100% Scottish barley, slowly distilled, non-chill filtered, and with no added coloring, it is bottled at 50% ABV to preserve intensity and character, where the malt is best perceived. On the nose, white flowers, apple and pear, soft citrus, and herbal touches appear. On the palate, it is silky and lively, with fresh fruit, sweet malt, toasted bread, and a long, clean, elegant finish.
