Isle of Jura The Sound is a Scotch single malt from the island of Jura, presented in a 1-liter format and at 42.5% ABV. It is part of the distillery’s Travel Exclusive Collection, and takes its name from the Sound of Jura, the sea strait that separates the island from the western coast of Scotland. Matured in American white oak bourbon casks and finished in Sherry casks, it combines the best of both worlds: the spicy sweetness of American oak and the fruity depth of Sherry. On the nose, it shows notes of caramel, honey, nuts, citrus, and gentle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, it is smooth, rounded, and balanced, with flavors of ripe fruit, milk chocolate, sweet spices, and a touch of coffee, leading into a warm, lingering finish. An elegant whisky, with island character and ideal versatility both for drinking neat and with a little water.
