The Ileach Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a faithful expression of Islay’s most authentic character, crafted from an undisclosed distillery on the island. On the nose, it is intensely smoky, as if a dense block of peat were dissolving in the glass, with that deep, enveloping profile so characteristic of the region. On the palate, it stands out for its balance of oiliness, peat, and barley, with a perfectly integrated interplay of bitterness and sweetness that makes it especially appealing. The finish is long and progressive, with the peat slowly fading to make way for a slight bitter touch of oak, balanced by subtle spicy notes that add complexity and persistence.
