Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is an intense and authentic Islay single malt, conceived, distilled, matured, and bottled entirely on the island. Made with 100% Scottish barley, it is slowly distilled in tall, narrow-necked stills, creating a balanced profile in which the smoky character is expressed with elegance, evoking notes of heather and barbecue smoke. Aged for ten years under the direct influence of Islay’s maritime climate, it develops a deep connection with its surroundings, breathing in the salinity of the Atlantic air throughout its life. On the nose, it combines intense peat, smoke, sea salt, and earthy notes with hints of cereal and spice. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with layers of smoke, malt, black pepper, and a very pronounced saline backbone. The finish is long, dry, and persistent, with a strong smoky and maritime imprint. A whisky that represents everything an Islay can and should be, made by people, not software, and deeply rooted in its community and its land.
