The Scots pines beside the ruins of Rothes Castle provide an ideal habitat for the Goldcrest, Great Britain’s smallest bird, and tower over the Glen Spey distillery. Founded in 1885, the distillery originally formed part of the Mills of Rothes. Water from the Doonie Burn is used to produce this Single Malt Scotch Whisky. A slight hint of wood smoke on the nose is rewarded with a dry, spicy finish.
The Flora and Fauna collection consists of 35 whiskies released in 1991, 1997, and 2001 from 26 distilleries. In 2019, another 9 F&F whiskies were released as the Reserve Cask Private Collection. So far, we have counted 83 F&F variations across all editions.
