Planteray XO 20th Anniversary is one of the great benchmarks of modern premium rum and the most awarded XO rum in the world, with more than 55 international medals. Originally created to celebrate Alexandre Gabriel’s 20th anniversary as the house’s Master Blender, this rum represents the union between Barbadian tradition and the French savoir-faire that defines Planteray’s style.
Produced in Barbados from molasses and distilled in column stills and traditional pot stills, this exclusive blend brings together very old rums aged in different types of casks, including new American oak, ex-bourbon barrels, and French Ferrand casks with varying toast levels. The result is an extraordinarily complex, elegant, and silky rum.
On the nose, intense notes of vanilla, coconut, cocoa, caramel, and ripe fruit stand out, accompanied by delicate hints of fine wood and sweet spices. On the palate, it is creamy, broad, and deeply enveloping, with flavors of toffee, chocolate, ripe banana, nuts, and an elegant toasted touch. The finish is long, smooth, and refined, showing all the depth and richness characteristic of the great rums of Barbados.
Planteray, formerly known as Plantation Rum, adopted its new name to evolve the brand while keeping its philosophy, style, and international recognition intact.
