La Florens is an intimate and elegant expression of Montsant, born as a tribute to the mother of winegrower Josep Grau. Crafted exclusively from Garnacha Tinta sourced from 75- to 100-year-old vines planted in calcareous soils, this cuvée stands out for its balance between delicacy and depth.
Fermentation takes place spontaneously in concrete tanks, preserving the character of the grape as much as possible, while ageing is carried out for 12 months in large Austrian oak foudres, adding structure without masking the fruit.
On the nose, it reveals a complex aromatic range with notes of wild red berries, dried flowers, gentle spices, and an earthy undertone. On the palate, it is fresh, agile, and silky, with well-integrated acidity and a subtly citrusy finish reminiscent of sour cherry and undergrowth.
An authentic, landscape-driven, vegan wine that captures the essence of its origin and the sensitivity of its maker.
