Papirusa Manzanilla is an essential benchmark within the Sherry region, renowned for its finesse, elegance, and unmistakable character. Made 100% from Palomino grapes and aged for five years under flor in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, this manzanilla reflects the singularity of its origin: a humid, saline microclimate shaped by the Atlantic breeze and the mouth of the Guadalquivir River.
Dry, light, and piercing, it reveals subtle floral notes and great freshness on the palate, with a dry, persistent finish that has made it one of the most awarded manzanillas in international competitions.
The name Papirusa comes from Argentine lunfardo and means beautiful and elegant; it was also the name of the doll Emilio Lustau gave to the winery manager’s daughter in the 1940s.
Perfect as an aperitif or to accompany seafood, olives, Iberian cured meats, and Asian cuisine. Serve very cold.
