Garrigal Old Vines is the ultimate expression of Perelada’s oldest black Carignan, born from 60- to 80-year-old vines planted on the La Garriga Estate. The gravel and pebble soils force the roots to dig deep, concentrating all the strength of the terroir in every grape.
With a short ageing of 7 months—70% in 300 L French oak barrels (fourth use) and 30% in 3,800 L foudres—the wine preserves its freshness and authenticity intact. On the nose, it offers notes of raspberry, Mediterranean herbs, spices, and blue flowers. On the palate, it is elegant, juicy, and balanced, with soft tannins and a long, harmonious finish.
Garrigal Old Vines is a Mediterranean wine, intense and refined, paying tribute to the history and strength of Carignan from Empordà.
