the oldest winery in the D.O. Costers del Segre produced its first bottle of Raimat Abadía in 1978, inspired by the dedication and patience with which the monks worked the land. Today it is the estate’s iconic wine and a benchmark among organic wines, internationally recognized with the Grand Gold Medal at the ECOVINO 2020 awards.
Made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo, it displays an intense cherry-red color with violet hues that denote youth.
On the nose, it offers complex aromas of ripe black fruit and plum compote, accompanied by notes of tobacco and spices such as pepper, clove, and vanilla, along with elegant hints of dark chocolate.
On the palate, it is structured by the power of Cabernet, balanced by the finesse and elegance provided by Tempranillo. Flavors of black and red fruits appear with a slight sweet touch. The finish is long, with a pleasant spicy aftertaste.
It is an excellent pairing for dishes with aged cheeses, vegetables, meats, legumes, and all kinds of pasta, confirming its gastronomic and versatile character.
