Mauro Godello is a white wine made from Godello grapes from plots in El Bierzo located on sandy, slate, and alluvial pebble soils. Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels on fine lees, it stands out for its elegance, freshness, and mineral profile. A long, vibrant, food-friendly white.
Mauro Godello is the white expression of Bodegas Mauro in El Bierzo, made exclusively from Godello sourced from plots located in Villafranca del Bierzo and Valtuille de Arriba, on poor soils of sand, decomposed slate, and alluvial pebbles. These conditions bring freshness, tension, and a marked mineral identity to the wine.
After a careful selection of the grapes, the must ferments and is aged for 10 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, remaining in contact with its fine lees to provide texture, depth, and complexity without losing precision or freshness.
On the nose, it stands out for its clean and delicate expression, with aromas of white flowers, stone fruit, and subtle mineral hints. On the palate, it is vertical, long, and vibrant, with a silky texture, great definition, and a fresh acidity that extends the finish.
An elegant, gastronomic, and profound white, ideal to accompany fish, seafood, rice dishes, and Mediterranean cuisine.
