Classic red from Rioja Alavesa, with aromas of black fruits, spices, and a long, balanced finish, crafted by Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE).
This wine is composed primarily of Tempranillo (90%), complemented by Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo (10%). The grapes come from vineyards located on the slopes of the Sierra de Cantabria, where the Atlantic climate and clay-limestone soils bring freshness and elegance to the wine.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 13 to 14 months in French and American oak barrels, with rackings every 5–6 months to encourage its development.
On the nose, it shows high aromatic intensity with notes of wild black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, licorice, cocoa, nutmeg, and sweet spices from barrel aging. On the palate, it is round, with smooth tannins that provide structure and a long, persistent finish.
This wine is suitable for vegans and has received outstanding scores in specialized guides: 91 points in the Peñín Guide and 92 points from James Suckling.
