Landua, produced by Bodegas Aiurri, a project integrated into Alma de Carraovejas, reflects its commitment to preserving the artisanal character and singular vineyards of Rioja Alavesa. It comes from old plots located between Leza and San Vicente de la Sonsierra, under the influence of the Sierra de Cantabria.
Made from a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and other local white varieties grown organically, it is vinified separately according to the origin of the grapes, with spontaneous fermentations in French oak vats and concrete tanks.
The ageing takes place for 9 months in foudres and French oak barrels for the San Vicente wine, and 12 months for the Leza wine. After blending, the wine rests for an additional 5 months in concrete before being bottled.
It has an intense ruby colour with violet highlights. On the nose, ripe black fruit, floral notes, sweet spices and a mineral background stand out. On the palate, it is fresh, elegant and balanced, with polished tannins and vibrant acidity.
