Costalara de Pagos de Anguix is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero DO made from 100% Tempranillo. Intense and elegant, it combines aromas of ripe black fruit, spices, and aging notes with a balanced, structured, and persistent palate.
Costalara is a red wine from Pagos de Anguix that authentically expresses the character of Ribera del Duero. Made from 100% Tempranillo sourced from 19- to 21-year-old vineyards planted on stony soils with a clay-limestone base, it combines intensity, elegance, and the distinctive personality of its origin.
The harvest is carried out by hand to ensure careful grape selection. The wine ferments in fine-grain oak barrels, combining 66% French oak and 33% American oak, and is then aged for 12 months, adding complexity and balance without masking the expression of the fruit.
It displays an intense deep red color. On the nose, aromas of blackberry, ripe plum, and black fruit stand out, accompanied by subtle spicy notes and elegant toasted hints. On the palate, it is structured, powerful, and balanced, with well-integrated tannins and a long finish that reflects the quality and essence of Ribera del Duero.
